Notion AI: search and organise team knowledge

Research profile · Checked 10 October 2026

Notion AI brings AI features into the Notion workspace. Its current product pages describe agents, enterprise search across connected applications and AI meeting notes.

Research, not hands-on testing. This profile uses the provider’s public documentation. We have not independently tested its performance.

What could you use it for?

It is worth evaluating when a team already keeps procedures, project notes and decisions in Notion. Searching a well-maintained internal knowledge base can be more useful than asking a general assistant a question without business context.

What does it offer?

Notion describes agents that can build and edit workspace content, search across connected services, and capture meeting notes. Search and action capabilities depend on what has been connected and what the user is allowed to access.

Plans and limitations

The pricing page places Notion Agent, AI Meeting Notes and enterprise search on the Business tier, with further controls on Enterprise. Notion has a Free workspace plan, but that is not equivalent to full ongoing access to its AI features. Check the current plan and any credit-based agent charges.

What to check before adopting it

Old or contradictory documents can produce unhelpful answers. Give each important procedure an owner and review date. For customer or employee information, check workspace permissions and the terms that apply to your particular plan.

A practical first test

Choose five real questions your team struggles to answer. Check whether the assistant finds the right documents, respects access permissions and produces an answer that someone can verify.
